Winter Sports

We’re so grateful to the LOF  volunteers and participants who made our 2020 snow season possible and to Mount Southington for hosting! Great things happened on those slopes this season! Check out this video from NBC Connecticut.

LOF Adaptive Skiers offers beginner to intermediate recreational snow skiing and snowboarding at  Mount Southington Ski Resort in CT. We host programs for individuals of all abilities to help them learn to snow ski or snowboard.

Instruction: Beginner to Intermediate lessons available

Dates: Please refer to our Calendar of Events for updated program dates

Time: Clinics start promptly at 10:00AM and end at 3:00PM. The day is split into one morning and one afternoon session, and participants can attend just one session or both. We ask that participants arrive at 9:00AM for the morning session and 12:00PM for the afternoon session.

Location: Clinics take place at Mt. Southington Ski Resort unless otherwise noted.

What to Expect: Our classes are personal, professional and designed to give individuals with disabilities or special needs greater physical independence through adaptive sports. Whether you’re new to skiing/boarding or have been on the slopes for years, you can expect quality programs from great instructors tailored to help you meet and exceed your goals. Clinics typically have 3-6 students per day. Between ski and snowboard runs, you will have several opportunities to relax slope-side or in the lodge and socialize with other participants. LOF provides lunch for all attendees!
